I know leadership from both sides of the equation.
I have spent my career working in healthcare environments where the decisions leaders make affect teams, operations, and the people who rely on their services. From frontline nursing to senior leadership, my experience has included responsibility for large multidisciplinary teams, complex healthcare operations, and national programs, policy, and strategic initiatives across Canada.
I know what it feels like to carry difficult decisions, manage competing demands, and be accountable to both the people delivering care and the organizations they serve.
That experience shaped a question I could not ignore: Why do we expect capable healthcare professionals to become effective leaders without always giving them the preparation and support the role requires?
Why this work matters to me
A skilled clinician or healthcare professional may be exceptional at their work and still feel unprepared to manage conflict, address performance, set boundaries, or lead a team through change. Those are learned leadership skills, not automatic rewards for being good at a previous job.
I have also seen the organizational side. When a new leader struggles, the response can focus on the individual — another course, more expectations, or eventually a replacement — while the systems shaping their experience receive less attention.
I started this business because I believe we can do better for both the leader and the organization.
What I bring to the table
01
Senior healthcare leadership experience with responsibility for large, multidisciplinary teams and complex operations.
02
National-level experience contributing to healthcare programs, policy, and strategic initiatives.
03
Clinical and operational perspective, supported by RN and MSN credentials.
04
An understanding of how organizational decisions, expectations, and resources affect leadership in practice.
My perspective
There is no universal fix for leadership challenges. The right starting point is to listen, examine what is happening, and understand the gaps before recommending a solution.
For organizations, that means thoughtful assessments, clear findings, tailored recommendations, and optional help implementing change. For individual leaders, it means a practical, supportive space to work through real situations and develop their own leadership judgment.
My goal is straightforward: help organizations create stronger foundations for leadership and help first-time leaders feel capable, supported, and able to grow into the role
